A US-based outdoor gear brand required a portable power bank with 20000mAh capacity, lightweight design (≤300g), IP65 water and dust resistance, and Type-C/Lightning output port. The project timeline was tight, requiring prototype validation within 15 days and mass production within 5 weeks.
Our Solution
We selected high-density lithium-polymer batteries to balance capacity and weight. For the shell, we used Alu material with one-piece die-casting, precision CNC machining, and dual-sealing technology (silicone gasket + RTV adhesive dispensing) to achieve IP65 protection. Our engineering team completed DFM optimization in 5 days, produced 30 functional prototypes using CNC within 10 days, and quickly adjusted the production line for mass production after prototype approval.
Project Outcome
The final product weighed 285g with IP65 certification. Prototype validation was completed 2 days ahead of schedule, and mass production delivery started on time with a monthly output of 100,000 units. The product received positive reviews for its portability and durability, becoming a bestseller in the brand’s outdoor gear line with a 96% customer satisfaction rate.
